Special Detectors

The D380 Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector detects CO gas from any combustion source and alerts personnel to the presence of levels below those which would cause physical symptoms. It detects CO concentrations in the air at or below OSHA and UL standards for exposure and before symptoms of exposure appear. It uses both audible and visual alarms as alerts.

D380 Carbon Monoxide Detector (Macurco CM-15A)

  • Solid state sensor provides maintenance-free operation
  • Microcomputer control provides virtual automatic operation
  • Alarms based on time-weighted averages of carbon monoxide contamination
  • Three-color display includes low-level visual warning of contamination below alarm level
  • Distinctive internal 85 dB alarm with alarm silence switch on detector
  • Remote alarm option with Form C alarm relay

The D381 Air Quality Detector is a general purpose detector for the presence of gases such as diesel fumes, cigarette smoke, volatile organic gases, and hydrocarbon gases. It is primarily used to detect cigarette smoke in non-smoking areas.

D381 Air Quality Detector (Macurco AQC-21)

  • 12 VDC or 24 VDC operation
  • Easy installation, mounts on a standard four-inch square back box
  • Adjustable settings for sensitivity and activation time
  • Relay output can be used to switch a variety of devices
  • Supervised sensors indicate internal failure
  • Automatic reset after alarm or power outage

The D382 Combustible Gas Detector identifies the presence of combustible gases such as propane and natural gas (methane). It is UL rated to trigger an alarm below 25% of the lower explosion level of propane or methane. This detector is appropriate for use in non-hazardous locations such as residences, retail stores, office buildings, and institutional buildings. It is usually installed in rooms containing gas appliances or areas that are susceptible to gas seepage.

D382 Combustible Gas Detector (Macurco GD-2A)

  • 12 VDC or 24 VDC operation
  • Connects to Class A or Class B initiating circuit
  • Self-supervised with trouble output
  • Alarm relay sealed for spark protection
  • Automatic reset on return to normal conditions
  • LED status indicator

Use the D284 Ultraviolet Flame Detector in areas where fires can develop quickly, such as in the storage of petroleum, photographic chemicals or film, computer rooms, print shops, museums, etc. The D284 is not a substitute for smoke or heat detectors. It only provides an added level of notification for fast flaming fires. This product is not UL Listed.

D284 Ultraviolet Flame Detector

  • Highly reliable, long-lasting ultraviolet (UV) receptor tube
  • Low power consumption
  • Can be mixed with other detector types on the control panel's initiation detection circuit (IDC)
  • Easily maintained; can be cleaned without disassembly
