The VIP X1600 is a high-performance 16-channel encoder for either live streaming or Recording at the Edge with reliable iSCSI RAID storage or centralize NVR recording. It has up to 16 analog camera and audio inputs, and is designed for fault tolerance including hot-swappable audio/video modules, redundant Ethernet ports and redundant PSU inputs. For 30 FPS at 4CIF use in alternate input mode - inputs 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15.

Intelligent Video Motion Detection (IVMD) is Bosch's advanced video content analysis functionality for the Bosch Video over IP portfolio of encoders and cameras that pushes intelligence to the edge. IVMD is fully embedded into the VIP X Series, including the VIP X1, VIP X2, VIP X1600 and Dinion IP cameras, all running firmware version 2.0 (or greater). By embedding this VCA capability at the edge, the system is far more scalable that using massive centralized PC-based VCA servers.

The VIP X1 features DVD-like quality MPEG-4 video, at up to 30 FPS over IP networks. Either PAL or NTSC video can be received and displayed with VIDOS video management software, a standard web browser or Bosch's hybrid DVR, DiBos.
