Motion Detection
Two selectable motion detection methods are available in
Mirasys V series.

  • Comparative motion detection compares two consecutive video images and analyzes the changes between them. If the predefined minimum number of pixels changes, motion is detected.
  • Adaptive motion detection adapts to continuous move-
ments in the camera view (trees, leaves, snow or rain)
and learns to filter these out from detected motion.
Similarly, the systems adapts to small movements of the
camera, such as those caused by wind.

Several calendar masks - for example, working hours,
evenings, weekends - can be created. These masks control
the recording.

Data Retrieval
Recorded data can be searched and played. Links to search
results can be added to a bookmark list, where they can
easily be retrieved again.

  • Activity search shows in a column chart the recording activity from up to eight video, audio, and text data channels simultaneously.
  • Motion search seeks images in which motion is detected in marked areas.
  • Alarm search looks for chosen alarms from the recorded data.
  • Text search seeks text events according to the driver settings. The search can include one or several selected event types.

Alarm Management
Alarm sources can be cameras, microphones or external devices like detectors or card readers.

Alarm Calendar Tool controls the alarm masks. There is also a year calendar for public holidays or other exceptional days.

Alarm responses include video and/or audio recording, opening an alarm pop-up window (real-time or playback) on the workstation screen, adding the alarm on the alarm list, activating a digital output, turning a dome camera to a preset or directing a camera signal to a video output.

It is also possible to connect (chain) several alarms. This allows the system to perform multiple tasks as a response to an event.

User-Defined Layouts
The operator can define, store and recall own layouts. This makes it easy for the operator to change views between several surveillance sites, building floors etc.
